Am I allergic to tomatoes? what can I do?

I have the same exact allergy which I thought I was the only one in the world. I cannot eat fresh tomatoes without my tongue swelling along with my lips. I love tomatoes too, and it does stink that I cant it them anymore, but I can eat cooked tomatoes. I was told it was the acid in the tomatoes that causes the allergy. I would recommend not eating fresh tomatoes, because it can potentially affect your throat too. Good luck!
